1980s

In 1982, the discovery of one of the most complete and earliest examples of a human skeleton in North America was discovered at the Wilson-Leonard Brushy Creek Burial Site. It was estimated to be between 8,000-10,000 years old. It is affectionately known as "The Leanderthal Lady." In the late 1980s, 1987 to be exact, the extension of FM 1431 from 183 to I-35 was completed.
