Attractions In Cedar Park

Austin Steam Train Association Take a nostalgic trip on a vintage train and enjoy passenger railroad’s glorious past with the Austin Steam Train Association. Take the family for a journey on the Hill Country Flyer, which winds through the Texas Hill Country, passing through scenic vistas. The Austin Steam Train Association also has themed train rides throughout the year like the Superhero Flyer, Princess Flyer and a special holiday themed North Pole Flyer.

Splash Shack is Cedar Park’s first indoor water park. Splash Shack has a 30-foot-tall interactive water play structure where you can ride down a water slide, splash around under water wheels, or get soaked by a huge dump bucket! What’s even more enjoyable is that you don’t have to worry about sunscreen or the unpredictability of the weather since it’s all indoors. Visit year round for an exciting and memorable family experience.

KID FRIENDLY PARKS 

Brushy Creek Lake Park has 90 acres of open fields, hike and bike trails, a kayak launch, fishing pier, and wildlife observation area. This park is a favorite for many in the North Austin area for a reason. There’s so much space and plenty of room for exploration.

Milburn Park features walking trails, sports fields, playscapes, a community pool (fees apply), and a BMX bike area with hills and jumps. Milburn Park also hosts most of Cedar Park’s annual outdoor events like the 4th of July Fireworks spectacular, Easter Egg Hunt and Harvest Festival.

Twin Lakes Park is a hidden gem in Cedar Park. Take the family and check out the beautiful, shaded greenbelts, walking trails, waterfall, lake and more. Twin Lakes Park is also the first stop along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail.

KID FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS IN CEDAR PARK

Scoop & Score Ice Cream Parlor is another locally owned family business that is the only ice cream parlor in Texas that exclusively serves Graeter’s Ice Cream (a Midwestern favorite). Their black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream is their best seller and a must-try.
