Cedar yards continued to be established to produce fence posts from the many cedar trees in the region. These cedar fence posts were in high demand throughout Texas. Many early settlers in the region supported their families by cutting cedar posts. In addition to cedar, limestone was abundant. Limestone quarrying was yet another early industry in Cedar Park.
