Lakeline Park
The Lakeline Park Master Plan establishes a comprehensive long-term vision for a 189-acre multi-purpose park located in south Cedar Park, Texas. The master plan was developed through years of vision and extensive public engagement by city leaders to ensure the park provides a balance of active and passive recreation while preserving the site’s unique natural character.
Phase 1 of the park officially opened on March 24, 2023, primarily focusing on the development of the north side and the foundational trail infrastructure. This initial phase introduced the Great Lawn for community events and a 4,500-square-foot multi-purpose pavilion designed for day use and performing arts. Families now have access to a large play area featuring a playground, splash pad, and grand pavilions with restroom facilities.
For water-based recreation, Phase 1 included a water sports pavilion for kayak rentals and a boat launch, complemented by fishing piers and wildflower meadows to enhance wildlife habitats. The connectivity of the park was also a priority, with the construction of a 12-foot-wide regional spine trail and a 10-foot-wide primary loop trail that links to the Brushy Creek Regional Trail.
Future phases of development will expand into the south side of the park, introducing a robust complex for organized sports and rugged natural recreation. The vision for the south side includes the construction of illuminated fields for baseball, softball, soccer, and football, as well as courts for tennis, pickleball, basketball, and sand volleyball. Beyond traditional sports, this area will support a 9-hole disc golf course and specialized natural recreation features such as bird-watching stations and stabilized earth trails for hiking and mountain biking. The complete vision for Lakeline Park aims to create a regional destination where high-quality athletic venues exist in harmony with a protected natural landscape.
