Experience the magic of a free summer event in Cedar Park, Texas 2026! What began in Paris as the Fête de la Musique is now a global phenomenon, and on June 21, our city joins over 1,000 communities worldwide for a DIY musical takeover.
This year, we are celebrating on the Summer Solstice and Father’s Day, turning our parks, patios, and storefronts into a living stage. Whether you are a seasoned pro, a garage band, or a beginner picking up an instrument for the first time, there is a place for you in our local melody.
How to Join Us
Participation is 100% free for everyone, but there are a few essential steps to claim your spotlight:
Register: Create your free profile on our Matchmaking Portal.
Match & Confirm: Use the portal to find your counterpart. Performers must have a confirmed agreement with a host location before setting up to play. Even if you have already found a partner outside the site, you both can enroll on our portal to be visible on the official map!
Vetting & Approval: All events must be within Cedar Park boundaries and will undergo a quick review by our team to ensure we are ready to rock.
Promote: Makemusicday.org has free marketing toolkits and tag #visitcptx for a chance to be featured on our official social media channels!
Participation Expectations
To make the day a hit, we ask all participants to commit to the following:
Live Music Commitment: Performers and host locations are expected to provide live music for the entirety of their chosen time slot.
Flexible Hosting: Businesses can host multiple acts throughout the day to keep the energy flowing.
Family Friendly: This is a community event, so we keep things inclusive and welcoming for all ages.
