All aboard! The Austin Steam Train Association has two vintage train excursions for you to choose from on Saturday, May 29. Their signature train ride, the Hill Country Flyer, is a great day trip that allows you time to explore their vintage train cars and enjoy views of the Hill Country. For a shorter trip, try the Sunset Express Flyer which goes to the historic Bertram train depot and back, all while enjoying the sunset from the train.

Just 15 minutes away from Cedar Park, Texas Paintball will help you maximize the fun this Memorial Day weekend. Spanning across 40 acres, Texas Paintball has a variety of playing fields with different playing environments and props to ensure you have a fun, unique and memorable experience.

Live music is back and better than ever at Haute Spot Venue. Texas based, modern country musicians, Blue Water Highway will take to the stage on Saturday, May 29 for a night of beautiful melodies. Grab a drink and some food and enjoy an evening of good tunes and good times.

A visit to Veterans Memorial Park seems fitting on Memorial Day weekend. Walk through the memorial where you can see life-sized bronze sculptures of WWI and WW2 soldiers, then take the pathway up to Memorial Hill where a large monument honors a different branch of the U.S. Military.

There’s plenty of ways to cool off Memorial Day Weekend. Cedar Park is about 20 minutes away from Lake Travis, so head on down to the lake and rent a boat for the day. Or try ziplining at Lake Travis Zipline Adventures. Soar over Lake Travis is this ultimate Hill Country getaway. Spend the day having some indoor waterpark fun at Splash Shack, Cedar Park’s newest indoor waterpark. This micro-waterpark is designed for kids to splash around and play all day. Their ginormous play structure has several slides, water spray features and a large tipping bucket that will definitely get you soaked. What’s even better about Splash Shack is that it’s all indoors and temperature controlled. No sunscreen needed!

For a more low-key water activity, rent a kayak, stand-up paddle board, or peddle boat and enjoy the views at Brushy Creek Lake Park. This beautiful 90-acre park also has plenty of hike and bike trails, playscapes, a water splash pad and plenty of areas for fishing and having a picnic. Brushy Creek Lake Park is also part of the Brushy Creek Trail system that connects to multiple parks across 5 miles.
