Outdoor Adventure

There’s a reason why we are named Cedar Park – because we have acres and acres of park and recreation space. Enjoy beautiful scenery, hike & bike trails, splash pads, and so much more. Check out these trip ideas for some outdoor inspiration.

Brushy Creek Regional Trail

Experience nature, history and community as you enjoy the Brushy Creek Regional Trail. The parks that lie along the trail provide many different amenities accessible to walkers, runners and bikers. Together, the parks have a collaboration of splash pads, swimming areas, climbing rocks, fishing docks, canoeing and kayaking, restrooms and multiple picnic and pavilion areas. Parks along the trail include Twin Lakes Park, Brushy Creek Sports Park, and Champion Park. Check out their details below:

Brushy Creek Lake Park has 90 acres of open fields, hike and bike trails, a kayak launch,  fishing pier, and wildlife observation area. This park is a favorite for many in the North Austin area for a reason. There’s so much space and plenty of room for exploration.

Brushy Creek Sports Park has it all; baseball fields, soccer fields, a disc golf course, mountain biking trails, and a skateboarding park. The skate park is approximately 15,000 sq ft. and includes a mini bowl, large bowl, modern street course with coloring, textures, shade and landscaping.

Twin Lakes Park is a hidden gem in Cedar Park. Take the family and check out the beautiful shaded greenbelts, walking trails, a water fall, lake and more. Twin Lakes Park is also the first stop along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail.

Champion Park offers a covered children’s play area with castings of dinosaur bones to discover, a large blue whale that spurts water to cool kids off, and specially designed boulders for climbing. Families can benefit from the large picnic pavilion with built-in grills, fishing areas, and scenic bridge across Brushy Creek. Restrooms and parking are available. A bridge crossing the creek allows for easy access from Avery Ranch.

Lake Travis Zipline Adventures

Lake Travis Zipline Adventures – Imagine gliding dozens of feet above a lush oak forest with the gloriously blue water and limestone cliffs of Lake Travis in view. Does it get any better than this? If you’re a bit of a thrill seeker, check out the zip line tour at Lake Travis Zipline Adventures. During the three-hour tour, you’ll soar on five zip lines and traverse challenging hiking trails. The tour’s main attraction is a zip line placed on a 20-story-tall cliff that runs about 2,800 feet, making it the longest zip line in Texas!  After all that zip-lining fun, you can relax on their private lakeside property. (Lake Travis Zip Line Adventures is a seasonal experience and operates March through November)
